When we think of nourishment, we often immediately think of eating healthy food – especially fruits and vegetables. When I was a kid and we prayed at the dinner table, my dad usually said, “Please bless this food to the nourishment of our bodies” as part of his prayer; and food is a crucial part of nourishing our bodies! But food isn’t the only way to nourish our bodies; our bodies our nourished through a variety of ways – good exercise, rest, plenty of sunshine (God designed our bodies to need vitamin D from the sunshine, which means spending time in his creation, which can nourish our soul as well!), and plenty of clean water. I am not an expert or a doctor, and so I cannot tell you exactly what diet and exercise plan is right for you. What I hope to do instead is help you with the practical side of HOW to fit healthy, nourishing habits into your lifestyle. I’ll help you with meal planning, grocery shopping, and cooking. And I hope to help with the common question many of us ask ourselves, “Why can’t I stick to my healthy eating plan long term?” I may post an occasional recipe, but there are plenty of recipe sites out there, so truthfully that topic has been covered. I would rather help teach you to be comfortable in the kitchen and be able to create a meal out of items you have on hand. So, jump in!
